We've just been thru a very strong earthquake in North Pakistan - about an hour ago. Here in Islamabad I've never experienced anything like this - everything was shaking, shelves were rattling, and as we grabbed the kids and ran outside the cars parked in the porch were visibly shaking.
We're all safe, thank God. But there is news of at least one highrise building (Margalla Towers F10) getting partially damaged. Plus damage to several houses, shops etc. News is still coming in.
The after shocks continue. Even as I type this, a tremor shook the bed I'm sitting on.
The quake was also in Lahore, Peshawar, Multan and most of the north.
Its reported as 7.6 on the Richter scale with an epicenter 95 km north of Islamabad.
