The other day I was looking at an advertisement for something or the other - I forget what. But it featured a group of men dressed in standard corporate uniforms - suits, ties, the works, the finest - with the caption: "Great minds think alike".
And it suddenly hit me how absurd this statement is.
Great mind don't think alike. Great minds never think alike.
It's ordinary, everyday minds who think alike, who cling to the latest fads, try to conform, try to look wise by saying what other wise minds have said.
Great minds, on the other hand, venture forward. They explore uncharted territory, they experiment, they fail, they try again, they learn, they evolve, they challenge, they stick their necks out, they try to push the envelope, try to discover something new and better and beyond the ordinary.
Great minds don't think alike. On the contrary, they think different - that's what makes them great.
